Brabus, the renowned automotive tuning company, has officially unveiled its latest creation: the Brabus Rocket 900, based on the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4Matic+. The company's engine shop, located in Manufaktur, Bottrop, is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for crafting high-performance engines.
The heart of the new Rocket 900 is a V8 twin-turbo engine with an increased displacement. This involves enlarging the eight-cylinder engine block to 84mm and fitting it with larger pistons. Furthermore, a meticulously balanced billet crankshaft and eight specialized piston rods extend the stroke to 100mm.
Brabus has engineered a more efficient turbocharging system to boost the engine's power. This system includes two high-performance turbochargers with larger compressor units and a reinforced core assembly with axial bearings. To enhance the driving experience, Brabus has added BoostExtra adapters that produce an audible blow-off noise when the driver lifts off the accelerator. The model also features a high-performance stainless steel exhaust system, reducing exhaust back pressure.
An optimized intake system ensures a steady supply of fresh air throughout the vehicle, while high-pressure pumps ensure ample fuel supply. The engine's appearance is enhanced with a striking red carbon engine cover.
The result is a powerhouse: the Rocket 900 delivers a staggering 900 horsepower at a low 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 1,250 Nm at just 2,900 rpm. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.8 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 9.7 seconds, and hits 300 km/h in 23.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically capped at 330 km/h to protect the tires, and the torque is electronically limited to 1,050 Nm to safeguard the driveline.
The exterior of the Rocket 900 boasts aerodynamic enhancements, including a Brabus front lip spoiler with raised flaps to reduce front-axle lift at high speeds, carbon intakes for side air scoops, a subtle lip spoiler on the trunk for added rear-axle downforce, a carbon diffuser, carbon titanium exhaust tips, and carbon air intakes on each side of the radiator grille.
For wheels, Brabus offers 21-inch forged options for the E63, the Rocket 900 rolls on Brabus Monoblock 'Platinum Edition' Z forged wheels, finished in Signature Black. The front axle sports 9Jx21 wheels with 265/30 ZR 21 ContiSportContact 6 tires, while the rear axle boasts 10.5Jx21 wheels with 305/25 ZR 21 tires.
Inside, the Rocket 900 receives a sporty touch with Brabus Race paddle shifters on the steering wheel, Aluminum door lock pins, and pedals, as well as stainless scuff plates featuring a backlit Brabus logo that matches the ambient interior lighting. The interior is lavishly adorned with fine leather and Alcantara finishing, complemented by precious wood and genuine carbon inlays, available in various colors and designs.
