Brabus has just disclosed its first round of modifications and upgrades for the brand new Mercedes-AMG C63 S. The changes are both aerodynamic, visual and performance oriented in nature and literally make the German super sedan even more unbelievable than standard.
For starters, Brabus has developed a PowerXtra B40 plug-and-play control module for the C63 S’s ECU. It updates the ignition and injection mapping while also enhancing boost pressure. Power from the twin-turbocharged Mercedes AMG 4.0-litre V8 engine therefore rises from 510 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque to 600 hp and 591 lb-ft between 1750 and 4500 rpm. Thanks to these enhancements, the Brabus tuned Mercedes-AMG C63 S sprints to 100 km/h in a mere 3.8 seconds while top speed has been enhanced from the electronically limited 250 km/h to 300 km/h.
Brabus has developed a stainless steel exhaust system for the car which lessens back features and pressure electronically-controlled butterfly valves, alongside the engine mods.
Aerokit-wise, the Brabus C63 S features a new Brabus front splitter, Brabus carbon side air intake surrounds, a Brabus rear lip spoiler and a Brabus rear diffuser. All of these components have been developed in a wind tunnel to decrease aerodynamic lift. They are available in a clear-coated matte carbon or in carbon fibre finish. A set of Brabus wheels that are 20×8.5 at the front and 20×9.5 at the rear are also available and can be completed with Continental, Yokohama or Pirelli tyres.
