For a few weeks, Brabus has been occupied with tuning solutions for Mercedes’ latest products. And one the German tuning company has already completed and announced earlier this week is that for the new GLS, or the GLS400d, to be more precise.
Brabus’ PowerXtra D40 performance kit makes 330 hp power to 370 hp. There is also an increment of torque from 700 to 750 Nm.
Due to the rise in power, the car touches to 100 kph (62 mph) from 0 in 6 seconds and is 0.3 seconds faster than the factory model. Also, the top speed rises from 148 mph (238 kph) to 151 mph (243 kph).
The PowerXtra D40 performance kit has a plug-and-play tuning module. Brabus also announces that it is operating on one for the GLS 580 gasoline version of the SUV.
Apart from performance up-gradation, Brabus has also made changes to the exterior and interior of the GLS. On the exterior, it placed a special front fascia with Brabus surrounds for the side air intakes and fitted courtesy lights, a rear spoiler, and tailor-made wheels can be sized as much as 24 inches.
On the interior, Brabus has placed the stainless steel door sill trims with the well-crafted leather and Alcantara fitted on the seats, center console, and door panels.
As such, there is information on the performance kit’s cost. If anyone is willing to know the pricing part, you can request more information by visiting the Brabus website.
