Subtle exterior upgrades come with an 88-horsepower boost to the supercar's twin-turbo V8.
The McLaren 720S is the most favorite supercar in the world right now with its ability to stand out in about everything. German tuner Novitec wants to remind the world that the 600LT is a captivating machine as well and to make it captivating, it's fitted the Longtail with some subtle aero tweaks. More importantly, it receives a power boost under the bodywork to give the 600LT a chance to compete well against its hyperactive competitors.
Particularly, Novitec attacks the 600LT’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and provides three different tuning setups that range from mild to wild. The first two are entirely electronic in nature, but the third one includes fresh engine mapping with a Novitec high-performance exhaust upgrade. This range-topping tune is called Performance Stage 2, and it increases the 600LT to 688 horsepower (506 kilowatts) at 7,450 RPM.
According to Novitec, that’s enough to send the 600LT from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph). Admittedly, those performance figures are only slight improvements over the stock 600LT, but we suspect the extra power is readily apparent on a track where you’re sprinting from corner to corner. Novitec also fits its 600LT with a set of sport springs that lower the supercar 30 millimeters (1.2 inches) all around. A range of Vossen wheels is available, using an amazing setup with 20-inches in front and 21-inch-diameter rims at the back.
The enhancements of the exterior part of the car are easy-going. Upfront is a Novitec hood for the front cargo space that adds typical aggression to the supercar’s nose. At the rear, Novitec provides a two-piece carbon airbox which assists in feeding cool air to the tuned mill. Inside, 600LT owners can choose from a variety of Alcantara and leather options to spec-up the greenhouse however they like.
