But Mercedes-AMG G63 is that one car that is universally loved by tuners, and this latest creation is no different. This bulky beast started out life as a utilitarian workhorse but has evolved into a luxurious hotel room on wheels. Enter Carlex Design, a body modification shop based in Poland which is famous for completely transforming cars into pieces of rolling art. Recently, the company has revealed its latest creation. a Mercedes-AMG G 63, which has been taken to the next level of design, both on the outside and inside. Meet the G63 Racing Green Edition.
The big off-roader is available in only one color, with a name like Racing Green Edition - you guessed it, a deep emerald green, inspired by the classic British Racing Green color scheme. The exterior of the Racing Green Edition also features a set of eye-catching 22-inch wheels featuring subtle gold flakes, as well as a carbon fiber roof and spare wheel cover. The body has been treated to a number of tasteful decals, emblems, and golden brown brake calipers. The exterior is certainly a work of art, but the interior is where Carlex Design shows off its real talents.
Carlex Design calls the interior of its G-Class an "atmospheric and intimate space", and the main feature here has to be the sumptuous Dark Bottle Green leather trimmings that are matched up with milk chocolate brown perforated leather upholstery and a unique stitching pattern and embossed motifs. The rest of the cabin shows off carbon fiber and Alcantara inserts on the steering wheel and dashboard.
A twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 577 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque which means the engine remains unchanged, sending the SUV from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
