The well-built appearance is completed by a more powerful diesel engine.
The V12-powered G-Class would not be the only new Brabus at the Frankfurt Motor Show because the 888-horsepower comfortable fortress will also be there by an off-road-ready version of the legendary SUV. It places above the regular version and has a widebody kit that gives it a more threatening presence.
The show car is based on the G350d, but Brabus reveals it will provide the modifications for every version of the W463. In diesel, its inline-six 3.0-liter engine has been struck by 44 horsepower and 44 pound-feet (60 Newton-meters) to 326 hp and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm). The add-on output allows SUV to touch 62 mph (100 kph) from a standstill in 7.2 seconds and max out at 126 mph (202 kph). G-Class has a weight of 2,376 kilograms (5,238 pounds).
The amazing part of the package is the height-adjustable suspension that raises the trustworthy Mercedes SUV by close to 40 millimeters (1.6 inches) for extra ground clearance that you might require to address the rough terrain problem. You might say that this isn’t a common G-Wagen, as it has the wind deflector on the top of the windshield, fixing four LED auxiliary lights for better visibility at night. A large rack on the roof goes from front to back which offers the SUV even more practical.
The backside of the G has gone some modifications, with the extra wheel cover created from carbon fiber. To its right places a ladder to assist drivers and passengers to place their luggage on the SUV’s roof. The adventurous G-Class has a more impressive appearance with 10 cm wider than the original G350d. It got further enhanced by the aftermarket 20-inch wheels with 285/55 R20 off-road tires.
Tomorrow when the first press day starts, the Mercedes G-Class furnished with the Adventure Package will be on show at IAA in Frankfurt at the Brabus stand.
