In the recent past TX2K event, Underground Racing may have been diverted by AMS Performance. But it still entices lots of clients for its twin-turbo conversions. The tuning company has expertise in building Lamborghinis and Audi R8s super-fast and has been adding turbos to these exotics for a long time now. In 2012, the company did a 1,200-horsepower conversion on a Lamborghini Aventador, but now the tuner has enhanced to a new level, becoming the first to strap a pair of turbochargers to the $500,000 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

In order to manage the tuning requirement, the car is fitted with a JRR MoTeC M1 ECU featuring Underground Racing's proprietary Aventador firmware. A fully functional engine with billet connecting rods and tailor-made forged pistons is placed under the hexagonal hood.

The gearbox has also been made powerful with a full billet 1st-7th gear setup with billet drop gears and billet input and output shafts.

Earlier Aventador SVJ used to generate "just" 759 hp. But with the addition of mirror billet turbochargers from Precision Turbo & Engine, now it produces 1,600 hp at the wheels. If Chris Tawil, owner, enhances from the current custom clutch and billet flywheel fitted to the build and opts for UR's race-spec clutch, it will easily produce more than 2,000 wheel-horsepower. And the good thing is- still the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva active aero system is fully functional.
